Obituary for Daniel Duncan

Daniel B. Duncan, 76, of Lincoln, died December 8, 2017, at his home. Mr. Duncan was born June 16, 1942, in Hosford, Florida, to Jesse Duncan and Beverly Finuff Duncan. He received his Bachelor’s degree at Florida State University, his Master’s degree at Troy State University, and his Doctorate of Law at Sanford University.
He was a police officer, taught at Pensacola Community College, was an assistant District Attorney for Mobile and Baldwin Counties, and a Treasury agent who taught at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. He was also a Major in the Army Reserve, in the 87th Maneuver Area Command. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his great grandson. He loved to read and cook and argue politics with his sons. He was not expansive about his faith, but his high moral code and love for his fellow man could be seen in all of his actions.
He is survived by his sons, John, Marc, and Scott and their spouses Susan, Michele, and Heather; his grandchildren, Erin (and her finance Austin), Kate, Cameron, Ethan, and Kathleen; and his great-grandson Harper.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Rankin Duncan.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. EST at the Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown.
