Floyd Allen Lytle

December 8, 1957 — May 12, 2021

Floyd Allen Lytle, born December 8, 1957 in Fallon, NV, joined the Heavenly realm on May 12, 2021. Allen was a beloved Parts Manager for the Ford Motor Company for many years, serving local customers at Chipola Ford and Blountstown Motors. He was an active member of Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville, FL, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, former youth pastor, and fervent praise band bass player. Allen enjoyed sharing The Gospel, and those that knew him would say he never met a stranger, especially while attending his son’s basketball games or one of his daughters’ dance recitals. He loved being a bass guitarist for several bands across the years and cultivated countless friendships through his many gigs. Allen’s cheerful, witty humor was a testament to the contentment found in the Lord; through many trials, Allen remained optimistic and faithful, with a classic “dad joke” at the ready. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, John and Margie Lytle; his brother, John Lytle Jr.; his father-in-law, Darwin Chambers; and his stepfather Foster Mason. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Michelle Chambers Lytle; his brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Suzanne Mason; 3 daughters and their spouses, Brittney and Michael Davis of Altha, Madelynn and Donavan Ebersole of Tallahassee, Ashley Lytle of Blountstown; one son, Jake Lytle of Blountstown; a host of nieces and nephews; 3 grandchildren, Huxley Ebersole of Tallahassee, and Allison and Elijah Davis of Altha; and several puppers, of whom he was extremely fond. Services to honor and to celebrate Allen’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville with Reverend Troy Marks officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Head Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
