Bettie Jo “B.J.” Bailey, 87 of Blountstown, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, in Panama City. B.J. was born August 20, 1936, in Slidell, Louisiana to the late Arturo and Betty Corazza. She joined the Air Force at a young age and served during the Korean Conflict. She later went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in social work and eventually opened her own restaurant. She was a true entrepreneur at heart and an exceptional artist. She loved to travel and was an avid antique collector.

Other than her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, John Bailey, Sr. and her very special friend Heidi Rydeard.

She leaves behind her son, John H. Bailey and his wife Angela of Panama City Beach; her grandchildren, John H. Bailey, Derek Bailey and Matthew Silva as well as her great grandchildren, Addison Rylee Bailey and Blair Paisely Bailey.

Services to honor B.J.’s life will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. There will also be a time of visitation beginning at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
