Chester Lyvoyd Jeter, 82 of Grand Ridge, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 4, 2023, in Grand Ridge, Florida. Lyvoyd was born December 6, 1940, in Grand Ridge to the late Chester and Nellie Jeter and had lived in Jackson County most of his life. He was a member of the Shady Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church and had given his life to Christ, served the Lord steadfastly and raised his family for God as a devoted father, husband and grandparent.
Other than his parents, Lyvoyd was preceded by his wife Dorothy Jeter in 2018.
Survivors include his son, Donald Jeter of Cypress; three daughters, Marianne Kelley and her husband Howard of Grand Ridge, Karen Sanders and her husband Brian of Tallahassee and Amy Oxendine of Blountstown; two sisters, Ruth Smith and her husband Jack of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Sarah Lamb of Grand Ridge; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A memorial service to honor and to celebrate Lyvoyd’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2023, at Shady Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
