David R Freeman of Wewahitchka, Florida passed away Monday, September 5 at his home at the age of 77. He was born June 28, 1934 to the late Arthur and Thelma (Armstrong) Freeman. He was a longtime member of Wewahitchka First Baptist Church where he served as deacon, taught Sunday school, and served on various committees. He was a member of the Mason Order, Tupelo Lodge for fifty plus years.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Geraldine Freeman; children, Stephanie Zolin of Pensacola, Stephen and Ann Freeman of Havana, and Stan Freeman of Tallahassee; grandchildren, Danielle and Micah Heller, Ashlyn and Billy Grooms, and James Freeman; and four great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Wewahitchka First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Stroud and Associate Pastor Jason Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6 at the church.
