Dorothy Grantham

Dorothy Hill Grantham went home to be with Jesus on May 27, 2024, after a brief illness. Dorothy was born June 30, 1934, and was a homemaker unit the early seventies when she became a seamstress at Blountstown Manufacturing then later went to work with Russell’s in Marianna. She then settled into the family business with her husband and two youngest sons until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her children and especially fishing with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Noah Hill and Lillie (Bass) Hill; her husband Reverend Charles Grantham, Sr.; her brothers, Edward, Lloyd, Pony, Lee, Daniel and Junior; sisters, Essie Syfrett and Evelyn “Winnie” Scoggins.

Survivors include her children, Charles Grantham Jr. and his wife Bonita, Diane Grantham, Donny Joe Grantham and Alvin Grantham and his wife Miranda; her grandchildren, Shannon Grantham, Sabrina Grantham, Jason Jerkins and his wife Shaula, Gena Jerkins Allen and her husband John, Salena Jerkins, Donny Ray Grantham and his wife Jennifer, Marcus Grantham and his wife Katie and Noah Grantham; eleven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and one on the way.

Services to honor Dorothy’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
