Gladys Howard

Gladys Howard, age 77, of Altha, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 in Marianna. She was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County, a homemaker, and a member of Hasty Pond Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Howard; brothers, Hubert, Cecil, George, Newton, and Kenneth Bates; and a sister, Mary Chason. Survivors include four daughters, Janice Fielder and her husband, Chris of Altha, Patricia Fielder and her husband, Roger of Altha, Sandra Franklin and her husband, Harvey of Cypress, and Barbara Lipford and her husband, Ronnie of Altha; twelve grandchildren and twenty-eight grandchildren; a brother, James D. Bates of Altha and a sister, Vada Shiver of California. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31 at Hasty Pond Baptist Church in the Hasty Pond Community. Interment will follow in Hasty Pond Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 30 at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown.
