She was steadfast in her love of her family and each one knew in their hearts that she loved without condition. She was unyielding to disappointment and adversity, which she experienced from time to time during her 96 years of life. She was an example to her children and grandchildren of a person who was content in life, enjoyed work but was not ruled by it and held strong in her faith and church life. Her values of hard work, perseverance, and frugality shaped those that she raised, and they are all better for it. Those tenants of life remain with the twenty-two loved ones that survive her as they hold close the memory of those piercing blue eyes and quick wit.Services to honor Hazel will be held 9:30 EST Friday, August 12, 2022, at Good Hope Cemetery with Reverend David Kassi and Kyle Peddie officiating.
