Heidemarie Rydeard, 82 of Panama City, and formerly of Blountstown, passed away Heidemarie Rydeard, 82 of Panama City, and formerly of Blountstown, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024, in Panama City. Heidi was born February 9, 1942, in Keil, Germany and was able to escape Nazi Germany just ahead of the soviet invasion as a small child during World War II. She eventually moved to the United States and became a citizen in 2019. Heidi was an entrepreneur at heart and had many talents. She was a restaurant owner, dabbled in real estate, a movie editor as well as a soccer coach, coaching two international soccer teams into the Junior World Cup.
She is preceded in death by her parents Heinrich and Margaret Hodel; a brother, Deter Hodel and a sister.
Survivors include her companion, Bettie Jo Bailey; her nephew, John Henry Baily IV and his wife Angela Jane (Moreton) Bailey; her great nephews, John Henry Bailey V, Derek Bailey and Matthew Silva; her great Great Greats, Rylee Bailey and Blair Bailey.
Services to honor Heidie’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with a time of visitation beginning one hour prior to the services.
