John Kent

John H. "Buddy" Kent, Jr., 74 of Blountstown passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. Buddy was born in Blountstown December 7, 1944 to the late John H. Kent Sr. and Peggy (Duval) Kent and had worked for Eubanks Oil Company for many years until his retirement. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army. Survivors include his longtime companion, Alice Howell of Blountstown; his son, John H. Kent III and his companion Pat of Blountstown; his daughter Tara Jackson and her husband Jay of Tallahassee; his sisters, Betty Barfield of Blountstown, Sheri Gable and her husband Billy of Altha and Peggy Tipton of Blountstown; his grandchildren, Saige Paquette and husband Cody, Kymberly Kent, Patrick Jackson and Ashley Jackson; he is also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and other extended family. Special thanks to Covenant Hospice for the care and compassion through the trying days. Services celebrating his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown with Reverend Ryan McDougald officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery near Blountstown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
