Lillie Mae Mathis

Lillie Mae Mathis, 99 of Blountstown, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at her home. Lilly was born in Blountstown to the late Frank and Sarah Yon and lived in Blountstown most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gods Way Ministries Church in Blountstown.

Lilly is preceded in death by her husband Lester Mathis, a brother, Leroy Yon and a sister, Annie Ruth Hallstead.

Survivors include her son, Albert Thomas of Blountstown; her brothers, Chester Yon and Clifford Yon both of Ft. Lauderdale; a sister, Gladys Watts of Ft. Lauderdale; her grandchildren, Sean, Reggie and Alfonzo and a great grandchild, Keiara and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Services to celebrate Lilly’s life will be held 12:00 p.m. from the God’s Way Ministries Church with Bishop Micah Martin and Pastor Judson Safford. The wake will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022, also at the God’s Way Ministries Church. Interment will follow in Graves Creek Cemetery in Blountstown.
