Lucile W. Johnson, age 100, of Bristol passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Hosford. She was born in Bristol January 2, 1911 to the late James "Jim" and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) White. She was retired as secretary at the Florida Department of Highway Safety. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bristol where she served as pianist. She was also a member of Blountstown Order of Eastern Star and Disabled American Veterans in Marianna. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leo White, Clyde White, Lora White and Elmer White; her sisters, Laura Story and Wynona Revell; and a great-granddaughter, Tania Potter. She is survived by her son, James Edison "Jimmy" Johnson and his wife, Martha of Bristol, a daughter, Chiquita Sanders Rudd of Hosford; six grandchildren, Sharon Crews, Karen Sanders, Joan Johnson Wright, John T. Sanders, James Bo Sanders, and Jim Johnson; eleven great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and one great- great- great- grandchild. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Bristol United Methodist Church with Reverend John Jackson, Reverend Rick Stewart, and Reverend Coy Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Bristol Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m.ET, Monday, November 14 at Adams Funeral Home in Bristol. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
