Mary Owens Rubel

Mary Owens Rubel, 86 of Bristol, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025. Mary was born in Bristol July 31, 1938, to the late Leonard and Mary Owens. She was a data entry clerk for the State of Florida for over 30 years and always loved spending time with family and friends or being on the water fishing. She also spent time in her garden and would always have a good story to tell.

Other than her parents she is also preceded in death by her son, Darrell Johnson; her sisters, Peggy Jacobs and Cleo Phillips.

Survivors include her sister, Natalie Tyndall; her grandchildren, Darrell Johnson and his wife Rachael and Elizabeth Kincaid and her husband Brad; her great grandchildren, Israel and Elijah Johnson and Greyson Brand; nieces and nephews, Teresa Bedgood, Kent Jacobs, Margaret Hall, Margie Jacobs, Jeffery Tindell, Josh Tindell, Leslie Tindell, Eddie Phillips and Tarrell Phillips; great niece and nephew, Becky Shirah and her husband Kevin and Gene Sapp as well as a great great nephew, Cain Groves.

Services to honor Mary’s life will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kent Jacobs officiating. A time of visitation will take place beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol.
