Michael Barfield

Michael Barfield, 73, of Altha passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Blountstown. Michael was born in Altha, November 1, 1945 to the late Benjamin Edward Barfield and Thelma O'Bryan Barfield and was a lifelong resident of Calhoun and Jackson County. He was a graduate of Altha High School and was in the trucking business for many years. Mike attended the Altha Church of God. Other than his father he was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a sister, Marie O'Bryan and his brother Phil Barfield. Survivors include his mother, Thelma Barfield; his son, Keith Barfield; his brother, Benny Earl Barfield and his wife Volena; his sister, Ann Andrews and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. No services are planned. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Blountstown Health and Rehabilitation and Covenant Care Hospice.
