Myra L. Mangum, 92 of Blountstown, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at her home. Myra was born October 4, 1928 to the late Lewis Langley and Mattie (Cosper) Langley and moved to Calhoun County in 1974 with her husband Rev. Rea who was called to pastor Blountstown First Baptist Church. Other than being a devoted pastor’s wife, Myra was a registered nurse and worked at Calhoun County Health Department for several years before retirement. Other than her parents, Myra is preceded in death by her husband Rea Mangum as well as her brothers and sisters; Ertis Pollard, Flossie Dickinson, Obie Langley, James L. Langley, and Dera Perkins. Survivors include her daughters; Robin Richards and her husband Chuck of Blountstown and Judy Oshust and her husband Michael of Acworth, Georgia; her grandchildren, Ashley Richards and his wife Valerie, Adam Richards and his wife Thu, Erin Moore and her husband Daniel; Caroline Hamby and her husband Davis and her great grandchildren, Mercy, Harbor Joy, Ivory Kate, Reynolds, Shephard, Haven and Bence Moore, Sawyer and Sutton Hamby and Cameron and Penelope Richards. Services to honor and to celebrate Myra’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Blountstown First Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Rhodes officiating.
