Orie Colvin

Orie G. Colvin of Bristol, Florida passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the age of 95. She was born in Gadsden, Alabama July 11, 1917 to the late Jones and Connie (Hicks) Granger. Orie was a homemaker and enjoyed helping others and was a member of Bristol Church of God. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-four years, Daniel M. Colvin, and a twin sister, Erie Parker. Survivors include her daughter, Gilda Drummond of Bristol and a sister, Inez Parker of Mobile, Alabama. A homecoming celebration will be held 3:00 p.m., Central Time/4:00 p.m., Eastern Time, Tuesday, September 4 in the Chapel at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown, Florida with Reverend Fred Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
