Robert Yon

Robert Yon, 85 of Altha, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, in Blountstown. Robert was born March 20, 1939, in Blountstown, to the late Edward and Ivory Yon. Robert joined the United States Air Force straight out of high school and served for twenty years. After his military service he worked as a truck driver and was an avid reader. He also loved fishing in his spare time and watching gameshows in the evenings.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lizzie Yon; a daughter, Debra Baggett; his brothers, Donald and Aaron Yon as well as a daughter in law Angela Yon and Sarah Jane Yon.

He leaves behind his sons, Michael Yon and his companion Delores, Chris Yon and his wife Lori and Mark Yon; his daughter, Sandra Lynn Jacobs; an ex-daughter in law Lisa Brown; his brothers, J.W. Yon and Hoyal Yon; eleven grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

Services to honor Robert’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 29, 2024, at Sunny Hill Cemetery with Reverend Michael Morris officiating. Interment will follow. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be made at adamsfh.com 850-674-5449.
