Samuel F Nichols

Samuel F. Nichols, 73 of Altha, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Sam was born March 1, 1948, in Altha, to the late John and Mattie Nichols and was retired from the Department of Corrections. He lived in Altha most of his life and was a member of the Altha Church of God. He loved talking to people and good conversation. He was an avid hunter and fisherman when you could pull him away from a good western on tv. Sam is preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Blair and Donna Jean Nichols. Survivors include his wife, Susan Nichols of Altha; his daughters, Amber and Samantha Nichols both of Altha; a sister Wanda Porter of North Carolina and a brother, Russell Nichols and his wife Fran of Panama City.A memorial service to celebrate Sam’s life will be held 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Altha Church of God with Reverend Allan Nichols officiating.Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
