Susie Maloy

Susie B. Maloy, age 94, of Blountstown passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 in Tallahassee. Born in Gordon, Alabama, April 2, 1922, Susie was the daughter of the late Henry Clark Worthington and Viola (Daniels) Worthington. She lived in Calhoun County for years, then moved to Mulberry, Florida for a few years, and later made her home in Blountstown. She worked in the Blountstown Sewing Factory for several years and was a member of Chipola Community Church. In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Pamela Sue Davidson; three brothers, Hennon Worthington, David Worthington, and Ben Worthington; and two sisters, Lou Milligan and Ruby McNutt. Survivors include her son, Shannon Sansom and his wife, Bonni of Moreland, Georgia; two daughters, Joan Padgett and her husband, Jake and Carolyn Young, both of Blountstown; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, at Adams Funeral Home. Services will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel with Reverend Steve Mason officiating.
