Reddin Brunson of Destin passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Destin's Sacred Heart Hospital at the age of 97. He was born November 1, 1913 to the late Lorenzo D. and Sarah Etta (Brown) Brunson in Portland, Florida. He was a fisherman all his life, and was co-owner with Fred Jones of the East Pass Marina in Destin. When he retired because of health problems, he and his wife moved to Clarksville and lived there for about thirty years. After his wife died he moved back to Destin. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Gladys Parrish Brunson; two daughters, Olivia Mannillo and Jo B. Swanson; two grandsons, Billy Edgington and Ricky Mennillo; a great grandson, Josh Bonham; two sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara B. Lykins and her husband, Randie of Preston, Idaho; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a loving companion and caregiver of ten years, Sarah Matthews. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Destin Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Thursday at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Phone 674-5449
