Velma Wood

Velma Jeanine Wood of Carrabelle, Florida passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in Tallahassee. Jeanine was born in Apalachicola, November 11, 1969 to J.T. Boatwright and the late Velma C. Boatwright. She was the youngest of four children; Larry Boatwright, Revena Page and Jerry Boatwright all life long residents of Franklin County Florida. Jeanine Married the love of her life, Charlie Wood in 1987 and together they shared two daughters, Haley and Katie Wood. Jeanine dedicated her life to her family and her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a light to her community serving as a paraprofessional in the Franklin County School System for many years touching the lives of children and families with her patience, warm smile and kind heart. Jeanine enjoyed cooking, reading and most of all spending time with those she loved. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband Charlie, Daughters Haley and Katie, Father, siblings, extended family and countless friends. Services honoring and celebrating Jeanine's life will be held 9:00 a.m. CST Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bobby Shiver officiating.
