Virginia Williams, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, in Blountstown, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 27, 1936, in Cottonwood, Alabama, and lived a life rich with love, faith, and family.

Virginia dedicated herself to her church and was deeply involved in various church activities, particularly enjoying her time assisting in the kitchen. Her unwavering faith was an integral part of her life, guiding her interactions with those around her.

An avid lover of the sun and the beach, Virginia especially looked forward to the annual family trips to St. George Island, where precious memories were forged against the backdrop of the sun-drenched shore. Gardening was another passion of hers, providing both a source of joy and a means of nurturing life.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Jacob Columbus Guy and Lora Guy as well as her sisters, Becky Holland and Mary Schultz and a son Jeffery. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted husband, Laddie Williams, and their children: sons Marvin Williams, Roger Williams and his wife Laura, Grant Williams and his wife Regina, and daughter Peggy Meyer and her husband Joe. Virginia was also a proud grandmother to Trevor, Rachel, Joe E., Jeremy, Jacob, Joshua, Jordan, Jaren, and J.C., as well as a delighted great-grandmother to Katalyna and Beaux. Additionally, her brother, Jerome Guy, mourns her passing along with the many lives she touched.

Her visitation and funeral service will be held on March 28, 2025, at the Blountstown Methodist Church in Blountstown. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Williams Memorial Cemetery.

Virginia will be remembered for her kind spirit, infectious warmth, and the profound love she shared with her family and friends.
