William Early Fant, Sr. 87 of Marianna, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, in Tallahassee. William was born April 24, 1935, to the late Albert and Trudy Fant and was the owner of a service station in Tuscumbia, Alabama and was known for being a jack of all trades.
Other than his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Ola V. Fant; his brothers, Eugene, Carl and Edward Fant; his sisters, Carolyn Anemos, Julia O’Bryan, Beneva Fant, Karen Blackburn and his twin sister Lillian Bramblett and his son in law Tony Conley.
Survivors include his sons, William “Billy” Fant, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Marianna and Willie Fant of Marianna; his daughters, Patricia Conley of Marianna, Thresa Musgrove and her husband Johnny Laramore of Altha and Ola Melisa Morris of Marianna; his sisters, Dolly Mercer of Sneads, Thelma Fant of Marianna and Jennie Stricker of Altha; grandchildren, Stacey Lewis, Heather McLendon, Christopher Fant, Ashley Strawn, J.K. Musgrove, Weston Evans and Tiffany Beaulieu; seventeen great grandchildren; his brother in laws, John Isbell, Bill Bramblett and Lloyd Blackburn and many nieces, nephews and other extended family. William was also expecting his first great great grandson in June.
Services to honor William’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Allen Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Old Shiloh Cemetery near Altha. A time of visitation will be held Monday, April 10, 2023, 5 – 7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home.
