Betty Jean Shaw, 74 of Wewahitchka, passed away Thursday at her home. Betty Jean was born in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Perry and Francis Ludlam. She worked as a seamstress and had lived in Wewahitchka most of her life where she was a member of the New Beginning Life and Praise. She enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with family and friends. Other than her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Jerry and Roy Ludlam and her sisters Mildred Ludlam and Edna Hoover. Survivors include her sons, Stuart Shaw and his wife Wanda of Troy, Alabama and Daniel Shaw of Wewahitchka; her daughters, Terri Hand and her husband Don of Altha and Heather Lucas and her husband Jeremy of Wewahitchka; her brother, Mike Ludlam of White City; her sisters, Mary Francis Ludlam of Havana, Diane Cunningham of Panama City and Dorothy Lindsey of Eufaula, Alabama; thirteen grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. Services to celebrate Betty Jean’s life will be held 3:00 pm Monday, November 1, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown with Reverend Joey Smith officiating.
