Obituary of Joseph Edwin Amison

Joseph Edwin “Joe” Amison, 69 of Bascom, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at his home. Joe was born in Apalachicola March 3, 1952, to the late Eddie and Doris Amison and had worked as a commercial fisherman for many years then continued his career at Sunland in Marianna, Florida for Thirteen years. Joe also served in the Army National Guard from 1970 to 1976. Joe is preceded in death by his daughter, Lawanda Lynn Amison and a sister, Karen Amison. Survivors include his wife Blanche Amison, his daughter, Marie Michelle Peacock and her husband Curtis of Bascom; his brother, Tim Amison and his wife Ava of Apalachicola, his sisters, Rebecca Patnode and her husband Bobby of Bascom, Deborah Edenfield and her husband Earl of Bascom; brother David Amison and his wife Teressa of Blountstown; siters, Kathy Edenfield and her husband Bo of Blountstown, and; his stepfather, Ray Bayles, his stepmother, Kitty Amison, a sister in law, Jane Scarabin and her husband Lawrence and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
