Obituary of Bobby Gilbert Goodson

Bobby Gilbert Goodson, “Uncle Bobby” 68 of Bristol, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at his home. Bobby was born in Chipley, Florida to the late Johnny Gilbert Goodson and Mary Florence Lassiter Goodson on August 14, 1953. Bobby Worked with Winn Dixie and then when he moved back to Bristol to be his mother’s caretaker he worked as a customer service employee with Piggly Wiggly in Blountstown where he became known as “Uncle Bobby”. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Johnnie and Mary Goodson. Survivors include his best friend “Butch”; his brothers, Johnny Goodson of Hosford; Jimmy Goodson and his wife Cindy of Telogia, Billy Goodson and his wife Karen of Milton, Delaware; a sister Annette Goodson Phillips and her husband Donnie of Telogia; his nieces and nephews, Tammy Prichard, Scott Phillips and his wife Angel, April Faircloth and her husband Ryan, Craig Goodson and his wife Rachel, Stefanie Briscoe and her husband Josh, Rodney Goodson and his wife Tina, Amanda Ballew and her husband Kevin, Melody Goodson Creswell and her husband Charles. His great Nieces and Nephews, Michelle Prichard, Gabe Prichard, Noelle Prichard, Channing Prichard, Ridge Faircloth, Abella Faircloth, Lila Faircloth, Allie Phillips, Nathan Phillips, Mya Goodson, Eva Goodson, Ansley Briscoe, Alyssa Briscoe, Taylor Goodson, Riley Goodson, Maddy Creswell, Hunter Konig, Shelby Ballew and Brody Ballew. Services to celebrate and to honor Bobby’s life will be held 4:00 p.m. EST from the Bristol First Baptist Church with Reverend Matt Bassford officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will follow in Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
