Betty Jo Taylor passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, in Quincy. Betty was born in Quincy, May 21, 1937, to the late Joe and Verne Maxwell and had lived in Gadsden County all of her life. She was the oldest and last surviving of their two children, Betty Jo and Edward Augustus (Buddy) Taylor. She was an accomplished pianist frequently playing in area churches. She is survived by many cousins; a niece Tay E. Maxwell Faircloth of Apalachicola; a nephew, Joseph Maxwell and his wife Terri of Greensboro and three great nephews, Drew Faircloth, Joseph Edward Maxwell and Sawyer Maxwell. She is happy to be reunited with her family in Heaven. No services are planned at this time. Memorialization will be by cremation. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
