Maxine Hobby of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Blountstown. Maxine was born September 19, 1946, in Clarksville to the late J. Frank and Lois Stephens and worked as a cosmetologist for many years until her retirement. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses many years ago and attended the Blountstown Kingdom Hall. Maxine was preceded in death by her brothers, J. Frank Stephens, Jr., Billy Stephens and Dewey Stephens. She is survived by her children, Collis Hobby, Jr. and wife Lisa of Clarksville, Terri Glass and husband Tim of Abe Springs, Stephen Hobby of Clarksville, Chris Hobby of Panama City; her sisters Jackie Ritter and husband RG of Clarksville and Melissa Stephens of Scotts Ferry; her grandchildren Casey Dunham, Austin Glass, Chase Hobby, Connor Hobby, Brandon Pitts, Kayla Godwin; her great grandchildren Whitley Dunham, Grady Dunham, Linton Godwin, Hendrix Godwin, Jeremiah Mayo, Ava Pitts and Easton Pitts and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family including Amber and Autumn whom were special to her. A memorial will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Blountstown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Masks are encouraged.
