Obituary of Betty Faye Russell

Betty Faye Russell, 84, of Panama City, Florida, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 15, 2023, in Blountstown, Florida. Betty was born February 7, 2938, in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late John and Nellie Russell, one of twelve children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her six brothers, David, Robert, Earnest, Ronald, Jimmy and Frank, her four sisters, Shirley, Emma Jean, Madeline and Carolyn and her son Nathan Thomas. Left to remember her legacy is her brother William Russell; three children, Darlene Dubois, James Thomas and Karen Thomas; her two grandchildren Amanda Rice and Jennifer McConnell and her husband AJ McConnell, her seven great grandchildren Kai Rice, Keelen Rice, Marcus Long, Kailey Harrison, K.J. Jones, Preston and Paisley McConnell and one great great grandchild Piper Campbell, two nephews William and Glenn Barwick also by many loving family members in North Carolina and Florida Betty had moved to Florida around the 60’s but she loved to travel, especially going back to Willington, NC visiting her family. She worked in the fast food industry for many years and loved serving the Lord at her home church, Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time at the community center playing bingo and helping others in the community. Memorialization will be by cremation. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
