Angela Darlene “Jella” Revell, 66 of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in her home surrounded by family. Angela was born December 6, 1956, in Lucedale, Mississippi to the late Evan Dobbins, Alda Webb Chambers and James Chambers. She received an associate degree in accounting and went on to serve her country in the United States Army until she was honorably discharged.
Angela worked hard her entire life and had many different jobs, but her favorite had to be managing the lunchroom for Hosford Elementary School. Jella was an avid reader and also enjoyed canning and crocheting with her sisters and friends. She will be remembered for her fiery spirit, her tireless energy, and her love of serving others. Jella was always willing to lend a hand to a friend in need, and she loved to cook for others. She didn't think there was a problem in this world that a good meal couldn't solve, and she was more than willing to provide that meal for you.
In addition to her parents, Angela is reunited in death with her beloved husband, Danny Revell and her sister Julie Chambers.
Survivors include her sons, James Moffitt and his wife Jennifer, Timothy Davenport and Seth Revell; her daughter, Aimee Wood and husband Cole; her brothers, Steve Dobbins and James Chambers; her sisters, April Fraiser and Trel Revell and her husband Garland; a shared daughter Millie Revell; her grandchildren, Vanessa, Brianna, Ashlyn, Kaitlyn, Emily, Isabell, Sadie, Landon, Everett, Kayden, Vivian, Jameson and special nieces Karen Smith and Sami May, in addition to a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jella's family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and caregivers of Covenant Hospice, especially Michelle Thrasher, Jennifer Griffin, Jordan Johnson, Emily Whittaker, and Ralph. Additionally, a special thank you to our dear friend, Sara Kever.
Honoring Jella's request, there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held on June 10, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Covenant Hospice in Jella's honor.
