Obituary of Clayton D Sumner
Clayton D. Sumner, 64 of Bristol, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in Tallahassee. Clayton was born in Quincy and had lived most of his life in Liberty County where he worked in waste management and recycling for many years. He also was a veteran serving in the United States Army.
Clayton is preceded in death by his wife Jill Sumner; his father Joe Sumner and a brother, Joe Seafas Sumner. He is survived by a daughter, Natasha Sumner Bryant; his mother, Lavon Sumner; his sisters, Leslie Shattles and Sherry Sumner; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Memorialization will be by cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
