Obituary of Carol K. Strickland

Carol K. Strickland, 75 of Bristol passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, in Tallahassee. Carol was born in Flatwoods, Kentucky, May 5, 1948, to the late Austin and Pauline Kincaid. She served as the Liberty County Tax collector for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed going camping and traveling and especially spending time with her family. She always looked forward to trips she made with her sisters and other family members every other year. Other than her parents, James and Pauline Kincaid, she is also preceded by her sisters, Shelby Bryson, Dottie Strickland, Barbara McMorrow, Nancy Davis and Marie King. She is survived by her husband Larry Strickland of Bristol; her son, Bo Maddox and his wife Cynthia of Clanton, Alabama; her daughter, Tammy Pullam and her husband Garnette of Bristol; her brother, Kenney Kincaid of Hosford; her sisters, Bonnie Rech of Omaha, Nebraska and Della Adkins of Huntington, West Virginia; her grandchildren, Shena, Chasity, Jasper, Juliana, Cody, Hunter and Andrew and also twelve great grandchildren. A memorial will be held 10:00 a.m. est Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Meacham Cemetery in Bristol. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be made at adamsfh.com.
