Obituary of Luquita Sapp Whitfield

Luquita Sapp Whitfield, 90 of Ashford, Alabama, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, at her home. Luquita was born August 27, 1933, in Blountstown, Florida to the late Early and Fannie Mae Sapp. She was a homemaker and an elderly caregiver and of the Assembly of God faith. Other than her parents Luquita is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Faye Blackmon. Survivors include her husband Eddie Wayne Whitfield, her sons, Louis Edward Lindsey and his wife Mary Jane, Charles Lydell Lindsey and his wife Debbie and Lynn Wayne Lindsey and his wife Brenda; her stepson, Todd Lawrence Whitfield and his wife Cindy; her brother, Joseph Sapp; her sisters, Martha Jean Burch, Glennell Tucker, Lynell Tucker, Mary Elizabeth Brake, Agnes Loretta Cole and Linda Darlene Linton; Six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family. Services to honor Luquita's life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday November 25, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery.
