Obituary of Parry Gordon Dolin

Parry Gordon Dolin, 86 of Altha, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, in Dothan. Parry was born July 24, 1937, in Beards Fork, West Virginia to the late Estes and Nannie Dolin. Parry attended Troy University where he received his bachelor's degree in guidance counseling. He lived in Altha since 1999 and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. Parry serviced his country for twenty-three years in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Parry later joined the United States Postal Service where he worked for fifteen years. He was a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans, the National Uniform Services Association as well as a member of the Masonic Red Level Lodge 134, Order of the Eastern Star and the Scottish Rites. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, James Dolin. Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Dolin; his sons, James Earl Dolin, William A. Dolin and Stephen T. Dolin; a daughter, Patricia S. Wilks; his brothers, Robert Dolin and Glenn Clay; his sisters, Mary Katherine Desatel and Diane Berry; nine grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews and other extended family. A memorial honoring Parry’s life will be held at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
