Obituary of Ellis Edward Stewart

Ellis Edward "Dick" Stewart, age 79 of Blountstown, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at his home. Mr. Stewart was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and was a farmer. He attended the Blountstown Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Orie (O'Bryan) Stewart; his first wife, Lola Mae Edenfield Stewart; an infant daughter; two brothers, Rubin Ralph (Buddy) Stewart and Roy Stewart. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lucille Stewart; four sons, Rubin Stewart and his wife Belle, Jeff Stewart and his wife, JoAnn, and Daniel Stewart all of Blountstown and James Stewart and his wife, Sherrie of Altha; a daughter, Sissy Caughran and her husband, Ross of Marianna; a brother, Broward Stewart of Blountstown; two Sisters, Janie Young and Lula O'Bryan, both of Blountstown; eleven Grandchildren; five Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dewayne Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunny Hill Cemetery near Altha. Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown is in charge of the arrangements. Phone 674-5449.
