I am unsure if I had personally met Dempsey, but I feel like I knew him through my husband Jim. Jim spent a weekend with him and several other Blessed Riders about 4 weeks ago at the Colors for the Cross rally in Tifton.Jim and Dempsey bonded in a special way that weekend. Jim gave him a couple of things during the weekend and was looking forward to giving Dempsey his Honda Gold Wing so Dempsey could have a bigger and better bike. Jim is out of town for six weeks, and I had to share the news with him by telephone. He was heartbroken but was comforted in knowing that Dempsey was with his wife again, whom he had mourned deeply since her death in August. Jim will be unable to make the ride to Florida for the service but sends his love and sympathy to his biological family and his Blessed Riders family. We pray that God will envelope you with his love, presence, comfort, strength, and grace.

There are so many memories flooding our minds of Dempsey and his wonderful heart, warm smile and ready to help hands. Dempsey was a good and true friend, one that you could count on in all ways. There are so many stories of lives touched by him, souls that will point to him in heaven and remember his witness to them at the Chevron Station or a motorcycle rally. These last couple of months have been very hard on you all, but know that your father is with his Father as is Trish and they are together forever with no pain or sorrow to intrude. Our love and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time. May God bless you all and keep you close. In Christ~ Doug and Kathy Landers

Though I never met Mr. Dempsey Hill, he has touched my heart and changed my life. I was at the gas station next to the intersection when the accident occurred. Know that God has another angel in heaven who will always be by your side and in your hearts. My prayers to each and every one of his family and friends as you replace the void of his loss with sweet memories of his life. Cindy Sloan
