Obituary of Shirley Ann Bateman

Shirley Woodard Bateman, age 74, of Graceville and formerly of Bristol, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at her home. She was a member of Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. and Carrie (Sapp) Woodard. Survivors include her husband, Ross H. Bateman of Graceville; two sons, Jonathan R. Bateman and his wife, Maryellen of Bakersfield, California and Joel R. Bateman and his wife, Virginia of Delphos, Ohio; four grandchildren, Justin of Bakersfield, Bret, Alisha and Amy of Delphos, Ohio a brother, Robert Othell Woodard of Marietta, Georgia; and sisters, Alma Sanders and Thelma Deason of Bristol, and Cassandra Revell of Zeblin, Georgia. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. ET, Thursday, November 4, 2010 from the Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol with Reverend Tommy Sumner and Reverend Garland Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Mystic Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 3 at Adams Funeral Home in Bristol.
