Obituary of Audrey Edwards Elofson

Audrey E. Elofson, age 84, of Altha, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at her home. She was born in Tampa, Florida and had lived in Calhoun County since 1972. She was a homemaker and was of the Lutheran faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Elferd Leonard Elofson; sons, James D. and William L. Brown; a grandson, James Leonard Hanks; her parents, William Lee and Grace Ola (Walden) Edwards; and two brothers, Phillip A. and Renee Edwards. She is survived by a son, Terry E. Brown and his wife, Ann of Duluth, Georgia and a daughter, Francis Elofson Buford and her husband, Julius H. of Altha; six grandchildren, William L. Hanks and his wife, Catherine, Stephanie Ann Church, Nicholas Hinson Brown, Darian E. Buford, all of Tallahassee, Florida and Andrew and Daniel Brown of Duluth, Georgia; three great-grandchildren, Lillian Sayge Hanks, Bradley Church, and Logan Brown of Tallahassee; two brothers, Orville Edwards and William Lee Edwards, Jr.; a sister, Marjorie Edwards Zimmerman; a nephew, George W. Edwards and his wife, Darlene; two great-nephews, Alex and Christopher Edwards, all of Charlotte, North Carolina. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
