Obituary of Beneva M. Smith

Beneva M. Smith, age 86, of Blountstown, went home to be with her Lord Friday, January 28, 2011. She was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and was a homemaker. She was born February 29, 1924 to the late Benjamin and Mary Elizabeth (Bamburg) McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Smith and two great- grandchildren, Rocky and Clara Phinney. Survivors include her son, Robert Smith and his wife, Clara of Blountstown; four grandchildren, Pauline Schrock and her husband, Duane of Fairhope, Alabama; Paul Smith and his wife, Melody, Pamela Detweiler and her husband, Philip, April Phinney and her husband, Tony, all of Blountstown; and eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Barfield of Blountstown and Lottie Lewis of Altha. Her family was a very important part of her life and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown. Interment will follow in the Boggs Cemetery in Blountstown. The family will receive friends Sunday, one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
