Obituary of Aubrey Leroy Pitts

Aubrey Leroy "Jake" Pitts of Blountstown passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the age of 75. He was born in Blountstown March 17, 1936 to the late Walter and Vernice (Sapp) Pitts. He was a lifelong resident of Blountstown and was a retired logger and truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Olivia (Atkinson) Pitts of Blountstown; a daughter, Melissa Hough and her husband, Daniel of Blountstown; three step-sons, Robert Davis and his fiancé, Vicki Mayo, David Davis, and Michael Davis and his wife, Kay, all of Blountstown; four grandchildren, Tara, Evelyn, Kayla, and Bridgett; a brother, Jerry Pitts and his wife, Val of Oklahoma, four sisters, Liz Flowers and her husband, George of Bristol, Ann French, Mary Nell Atkins, and Florice Kever, all of Blountstown; a brother-in-law, Shot and Betty McDaniel of Blountstown; twelve nieces and nephews; and a host of other extended family. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2011 in the Chapel at Adams Funeral Home with Sister Shirley Guilford officiating.
