Barbara Jenell (Purswell) Pitts, 77 of Kinard, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Panama City. Barbara was born in Daleville, Alabama, September 28, 1943, to the late James Roscoe Purswell and Massie (Martin) Purswell. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and Christian. She spent most of her adult life raising her children in Calhoun County. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Euston Jesse Pitts, her son, Greg Pitts; her sisters, Helan Purswell, Audrey King and Maudie Roberts. Survivors include her sons, Euston Edwin Pitts, Joey Allen Pitts and Freddie Leon Pitts; her brothers, James Purswell Jr., Joe Purswell and Robert Purswell; her sisters, Mary Cason, Elaine Davidson, Janis Lyles, Faye Causey and Carol Thomas; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host on nieces, nephews and other extended family. Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Wewahitchka. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
