Donna Carol Connelly, of Blountstown Florida passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 3:14 AM in Nashville, Tennessee. Donna was born in Chattahoochee Florida on December 12, 1969, to George Hillard Helms and Betty Jean (Johnson) Helms. Donna married the "Love of her Life" John David Connelly on January 8, 1988 and became a long time resident of Blountstown Florida. Donna moved with her husband to Indianola several years ago, where she was residing at the time of death.
Donna is preceded in death by her father, George Hillard Helms and brother Charles H. Helms.
Donna is survived by her husband John David Connelly of Indianola, Mississippi; her daughter, Candace Cherie Proios and her husband Paul of St Augustine, Florida; three grandchildren, Ian, Holden and Alice Proios; two brother, Greg Helms and George Helms, Jr; five sisters, Yvette Bryant, Debra Downs, Lisa Best, Ulonda Peterson and Charla Raphlje; many nephews, nieces, and other extended family members.
Services to honor and to celebrate Donna's life with be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Altha Church of God. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM, prior to the service.
