My sympathy to the family. Tootie and I were great buddies in Aiken in 1957 - 1959 until I entered the us Army. He loved people as a teenager too. I remember when he discovered the love of his life right across the street from his house, I could tell right away he was smitten with Cheryl. It was great to learn that he and Cheryl had 52 years together. I know the family has fond memories. I sure do. Blessings to all those with whom Tootie shared his love of life.

Tootie was more than a cousin to me. He was like a brother and a best friend. We grew up together in the same neighborhood. He was best man at our wedding and will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with Cheryl, Roman, Shawn, Pace and especially the grandsons.

Cheryl and all the Woods, how many wonderful memories we have of all of you--in Sumter, the beach, Myrtle and Garden City, the lake , Blountstown for 2 weddings, so many places and such good times. We have never met anyone that loved everyone as Tootie did. He was definitely a "people person". He always had a gift for finding the best in a person. We are sorry that we did not get down there this month. Our plans just never materialized as we thought. All of you have a big hug for us. We love you all and send our sympathy. You will be in our thoughts and prayers that God will send you the presence of His Holy Spirit to walk beside you each day and give you strength. We care and will talk with you soon.

I am so very sorry to hear of Tootie's passing. He kept an otherwise New York assignment more than pleasant. I am, at this moment hoisting a glass of my best bourbon to his memory.

Dear Cheryl and family, I am stunned and saddened by the sudden loss of Tootie. He had just called me a couple weeks ago to see how I was doing. We talked a long time about how much fun he and Charlie always had when you were living here at Lk Murray. I can just see them together now! Wonderful memories of a wonderful 'one of a kind' kind of man. My love and deeply earnest prayers for you today and each tomorrow.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends. I have many fond memories of growing up on the same street with Tootie. As kids we played stick ball in the street. He will be missed by everyone.

Cheryl, I can only imagine the grief you and the family are suffering right now. I loved him so much. He was more than a cousin -- he was like my brother and my cherished friend. I miss him already. So sorry.
