Obituary of Donald Eugene Jacobs

Donald Eugene Jacobs, age 63, of Bristol, Florida passed away Friday, May 23, 2013. Eugene was a carpenter and was a veteran serving in the United States Navy. He was a member of Lake Mystic Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his parents, Corbie and Dorothy Inez (Bush) Jacobs; a granddaughter, Alayha Inez Jacobs; and a sister, Lavoris Kirkland. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Jean Jacobs and her mother Martha Jane Jacobs, both of Bristol; a grandchild, Brianna Nicole Jacobs; a brother, Thurman Jacobs of Bristol; six sisters, Rosa Lee Short of Tallahassee, Florida, Marie Green of Bristol, Sadie Lee Davis and husband Jerry of Chocowinity, North Carolina, Lois Pitts and her husband Billy of Kinard, Florida, Joyce Barker of Bristol, and Loretta Flowers also of Bristol. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m.ET, Thursday, May 30 at Lake Mystic Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Chumley and Reverend Coy Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Mystic Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m.ET, Wednesday, May 29 at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown, Florida.
