Janice Lela Mayo of Altha, Florida passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at the age of seventy-three. Janice was retired from Calhoun Department of Corrections and was a member of Blountstown Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Willard Mayo and her parents, Harrison and Victoria (Stewart) Allen. She is survived by three sons, Michael Mayo and wife Debbie of Clarksville, Florida, James Mayo of Altha and Richard Mayo and wife Cheryl of Red Oak Community; daughter, Kim Butler and her husband Travis of Altha, Katherine Bridges of Blountstown, Florida and Juanita Knapp of Arizona; eleven grandchildren, Kristina Bailey, Scott Bailey, Staci Mayo, Dillon Mayo, Ricky Mayo, Sarah Mayo, Jessica Mayo, Eric Mayo, Cory Girardot, Ashley Norris, and Ashley Curlee; eleven great-grandchildren, Savanna, Sterling, Zack, Jeremiah, Carson, Braden, Hailey, Kloee, Sadie, Bradley, and Jayce; and a sister, Margie Redd of Panama City, Florida. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Blountstown Community Church with Reverend Larry Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery.
