Glenice Kelley, age 71, of Clarksville, Florida passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born May 10, 1942 in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada and grew up in Bath, Maine graduating from Morse High School in 1960. Glenice retired from New England Telephone and Telegraph. She moved to Florida in 1991 and she worked for Ramsey Piggly Wiggly in Blountstown, Florida for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irene (Mitchell) Newman of Bath, Maine and one brother, Gary Newman of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Glenice is survived by daughter, Kimberly Wood and husband Ronnie of Clarksville, two granddaughters, Kelley Wood of Tallahassee, Florida and Kassie Wood of Clarksville; a grandson, Mathew Wood of Clarksville; a great-grandson, Jayden Jackson of Clarksville; two sisters, Gail Wood and husband Ron of Clarksville and Glenda Bickford and husband Elliot of Orange Park, Florida; two brothers, Grady Newman of Phippsburg, Maine and Robert Newman, Jr. of Portland, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 20 in Clarksville Cemetery with Reverend David Goodman officiating. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
