Obituary of Leroy Adkins

Leroy "Dobin" Adkins, age 64, of Altha, Florida passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 in Tallahassee, Florida. He was born in Pensacola, Florida on September 18, 1948 to the late Roy Lee and Mavis Inez (Barfield) Adkins. Dobin was a park attendant for ARC for thirty years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles "Dirt Dobber" Adkins and a sister, Betty Sexton. He is survived by two sons, John Adkins and fiancée Tammy Reese of Marianna, Florida and Nicholas Lee of Perry; his daughter, Marcia Adkins of Altha and a special daughter, Kimberly O'Bryan; five grandchildren, Corey Reese, Kaylee Brown, River Adkins, Alexis Willis, Zachary O'Bryan; three sisters, Suzie Adkins of Altha, Lucille Adkins of Blountstown, Florida, and Charlotte Miller of North Carolina. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 23 in the Chapel at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown with Reverend Darren Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22 at the funeral home. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Phone 674-5449.
