Obituary of Leila Mae Shiver

Leila Mae (McCall) Shiver, age 94, of Kinard, Florida passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013. She was born in Kinard August 3, 1919 to the late James Hiram and Mary Eliza (Pitts) McCall. Ms. Leila was in the first graduating class of Kinard School. She was a homemaker and was a member of Cypress Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Kinard. Preceding her in death other than her parents, were her husband, Charles Clayton Shiver; four brothers William Sylvester McCall, Willis Wade McCall, Samuel Shade McCall, and Limon D. McCall; and a sister, Lillie Ola Daniels. Survivors include her son, Joe Shiver and wife Cythe of McAlpin, Florida; a granddaughter, Nynah Billingsley and husband Billy; great-grandchildren, Bryannah, Biancah, and Branson Billingsley of Lake City, Florida a sister, Annie Caroline Kennington of Birmingham, Alabama; and a special friend, Ila Chandler of Kinard. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1 at Adams Funeral Home. The funeral will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2 at Cypress Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Daniel Merritt and Reverend Lowell O'Steen officiating.
