It was my distinct pleasure to teach Willie Merle when she was in the third grade. She was a joy in the classroom: an eager student and a friend to all. I have never forgotten her even though this was many years ago. I had lost track of her over the years and was so saddened to read of her passing. May the Lord hold up her family and friends during this difficult time.

To the Family of Willie Estridge, My name is Angela, I am a volunteer Bible teacher in my community. I wanted to express my condolences for your loss. I would like to share a scripture with you that has brought me comfort. Its found at Revelation chapter 21, and verse 4. This is a promise from God about what He will do in the near future: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” God promises to make these changes right here on the Earth. He promises to erase all the pain that death has caused. I hope this scripture has given you some comfort in this difficult time. Sincerely, Angela

It was with a great sense of loss when I heard of Merle's death. I just wanted to let you know that you have my greatest sympathy and my heart is truly saddened. Merle was such a wonderful person and my friend. Years ago, we spent a lot of time together and I wish there had not been a lapse in time that we spent together. It didn't matter how long we were separated, when we did get to see each other, it was as though no time had passed. Her beautiful smile and laughter will forever be missed and she will always be in my heart and memories. A few weeks back she told me she had been saved and that she was a Christian. I said, "Who helped you with this?" Her response with bright, happy eyes, "I did it myself." I know that her passing will leave a void in all of your lives and I pray for each of you to be comforted and be given strength at this time of loss. May your memories give you peace on a daily basis, especially during this time of grieving. In loving memory, Janice McCranie
