to hear of the passing of Mrs. Revell. We were both students of hers at Hilliard High School in the mid 60's.
She was always ready to sit and talk with a student who might need some guidance in their life. If you had to "visit" her for a disciplinary reason, she was always fair and gave a just punishment.
When the class of 1966 graduated, only 6 of us wanted to take the Senior Class Trip. She and Ms. Frances Trey were our sponsors. Taking her prized Thunderbird and another car, we set out for the time of our lives. Forehand was present for a portion of the trip. We spent a couple of days in Daytona Beach ( a teen's dream come true), saw the Bell Tower in Central FL. and were so very surprised when she announced to us we were heading South to Miami! Most of us had barely been out of Hilliard so it was a trip I think I can fairly say was the trip of our lives at the time.
Over the years, Cris (Mackie) would become Director of Maintenance for the Nassau County School Board and had the pleasure of working with her on some school projects.
She loved her family, school, sports and most of all, she loved the students. I am glad we had her, in not just our lives, but that of our sons as well. She is one of those people you meet and they leave a lasting mark on you.
We want to extend our heartfelt sympathies to her entire family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
May she rest in peace.
